Book Review Submissions

Want your book reviewed on Literary Louis? I’d love to hear about it. I read every book myself, take my own photos of it and write up a full review here on the blog, with a star rating and a spice rating, then share it across my socials. It’s completely free. I don’t charge authors, I just love shouting about great queer books.

What I’m looking for

My tastes are broad and always growing, but these are the books I reach for first:

  • MM romance and LGBTQ+ fiction, including age gap, enemies to lovers, slow burn and found family
  • Dark romance, preferably on the lighter side
  • Fantasy and magic (if your book has hot guy elves, I’m already sold)
  • Sci-fi and supernatural
  • Christmas books. I love Christmas and make a big deal of festive reads every year, so pitch these early!

Not sure if your book fits? Email me anyway and we can have a chat.

How to send me your book

  • Physical copies please. I read, photograph and review every book myself, so I need a printed copy. Signed copies and bookish extras are always a lovely bonus but never expected.
  • Email me first at pr@literarylouis.com with your book title, a short synopsis, the genre and tropes, the spice level and a link to where it’s sold. I’ll reply with my delivery address.
  • Include any content warnings so I can add them to the review for readers who need them.
  • Press kits and cover images are welcome, but all the photos in my review will be my own.

What you’ll get

  • A full review on Literary Louis, with a star rating, a spice rating, tropes and where to buy
  • Posts about your book on TikTok, Threads and Instagram
  • A review on Goodreads
  • A chance to be invited for an author feature or onto the podcast once I’ve read your book

The small print

  • I’m a mood reader and a slow reader, so I can’t promise a set timeframe or review deadlines. I’ll always let you know when your review goes live.
  • I only share books I enjoyed. I don’t post negative reviews. Every book has its audience, and if a story wasn’t for me I’ll let you know privately instead.
  • Sending a book doesn’t guarantee a review, but I do my very best to read everything I’m sent.
