Peaches & Cream Book Review by A.D. Ellis

This book has been sat on my TBR for far too long and I thought it’s about time I gave it a read and I kid you not, I LOVED it! I then saw the next addition was out three days after I finished Peaches & Cream so I waited to read that and I have to say, they were amazing!

Peaches & Cream Synopsis

Hudson carries the weight of his past but has built a fulfilling life in the small town of Haven Grove, surrounded by family and a handful of jobs to keep him occupied. Relationships aren’t on his radar—quick, no-strings-attached hookups are all he’s willing to entertain.

Lance left town eight years ago to handle responsibilities he couldn’t ignore. Now that he’s back, he knows himself better than ever. Casual flings have never been his style, but sometimes, a guy has to make exceptions.

With a complicated history between them, Hudson and Lance find themselves at a crossroads. Can they push past old wounds and embrace the undeniable spark between them? Or will they be forced to set their feelings aside and settle for just being friends?

Peaches & Cream Book Review Video

Take a look at my video review to see if this is a book you’ll love or one you think you’ll pass on. I will say a couple of people tried Peaches & Cream after I recommended it and so far I’ve heard only great things about it.

If you are looking to read this book, I highly recommend it! If you’re going to read my book review of Peaches & Cream by A.D. Ellis please be aware that there may be spoilers and any spoilers will be in italics so that you know.

Peaches & Cream Rating – 4.25/5

Let me know what you think about my rating. Do you agree with me or do you think I was too nice or harsh in my review. I loved the book and read it while it was on Kindle Unlimited. If you haven’t read the book, make sure you do and let me know what you think about it.

Peaches & Cream Plot Rating – 4.5

The plot was on point. I couldn’t find any plot holes, it was full of angst and I really respect the choices made to address the age gap and family friend tropes as it can be a little difficult to do at times. The slow burn angst was done really well and I have to say it’s dyslexic friendly, no words that were hard to pronounce or find the meaning for.

Peaches & Cream Character Rating – 4.5

I loved the characters, I felt that a few could have been a little more indepth with their descriptions although with the rest of the series yet to come out I think there will be a lot more on various characters in the next books and I cannot wait.

I will say that I’m looking forward to knowing more about Henry, I know it was Hudson and Lance that were the main focus but Henry intriqued me quite a bit and I believe the next book Cake & Cocktails revolves around Henry and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Peaches & Cream Emotion Rating – 4

The emotion was there, you had angst, lust, friendship, family love, suspense and so much more. I can’t give it a 5 rating because I didn’t end up crying. This might sound strange but honestly if a book makes me cry, I give it a 5. There was enough emotion there for normal people though.

Peaches & Cream Ending Rating – 4

The ending was fine. There were no unanswered questions and enough around various characters to make me want to keep reading in the series. That being said, I would have liked a proposal.

Peaches & Cream Spice Level – 3

The spice was done really well, the moments where spice it was hot, lustful and very much anticipated. The spice wasn’t all throughout the book although this book was highly charged with the build up of spice and when it hit it was great.
