Romeo Falling Book Review By Jesse H Reign

I have so much to say about this book and I can see why Romeo Falling is such a fan favourite, it seems to be the most talked about book during November in my book community and I know why. Take a look below at what I thought about Romeo Falling, I think it’s going to be a high rating!

All spoilers are marked in italics so be warned!

Romeo Falling Synopsis

Romeo and I were friends long before we became lovers. Best friends. Ride or die. What began as a simple, innocent kiss unraveled into something far more complicated, leaving behind years of tears and an all-consuming obsession.

Now I’m back in the small town I once called home, staring into the eyes of the only man I’ve ever truly loved—and hated. Beside him stands his wife, her sweet smile only deepening the ache in my chest as my heart breaks all over again.

When fate forces us back into each other’s lives, the cracks in their picture-perfect marriage begin to show. And as much as I try to resist, the pull toward Romeo—my enemy—is impossible to ignore.

Do you think I was too harsh, fair or too nice when it came to this rating? I’d love to know your thoughts! This has to be one of my highest ratings yet and It’s easy to see why I recommend Romeo Falling by Jesse H Reign.

Romeo Falling Plot – 5

WOW! The plot for Romeo Falling, just WOW! As someone who is still hung up over the guy he fell in love with in school it really hit home. It was so sweet, heart warming and spicy! It was easily to follow, I love the past and present points of view as well which was refreshing and built up the whole picture.

I loved the contrast between now and then, it showed how Jude really feel for Romeo and how Romeo was a bit of a moron and didn’t just grab the bull by the horns. It flowed easily and I didn’t want to put it down, it was so inviting and made me want to carry on reading.

Romeo Falling Charachters – 4.5

Okay, so the only reason I didn’t give this a 5 was that I hated some of the characters in the book. Overall, they were great, and described well, and you could really imagine them, but take a look at the spoilers below on who I hated.

Benji can burn in hell, literally burn. I hate him so much, my blood boiled and I said a few choice words out loud when I found out his derailed their entire relationship. I also wasn’t a fan of Selby, I don’t think we were supposed to be fans but the way she controlled Romeo, it was a no from me! Overall it was a smashing book and I really found myself connecting with Jude, when the news hit that Sal had passed away, I was in floods of tears!

Romeo Falling Emotion – 4.8

I cried, I cheered, I got a little turned on. That’s how amazing this book was, it grips the reader and makes them want to read more. It helps them feel what Romeo and Jude felt and it was easy to connect with emotionally.

When Sal died I cried. I was crying within the first 100 pages of the book. When they hooked up, well I was happy let’s just say that and then ending was so sweet I cheered. I loved the emotion in this book. I would have liked a little more although saying that, I have no idea how or where it would go but sometimes I felt like some weren’t giving enough like Selby.

Romeo Falling Ending – 4.5

I hate endings, they’re either done really well or they crash and burn. I loved the ending for the Romeo Falling book. It answered loads of questions and I felt… Whelmed.

The only feedback I have is that it was a pain that I had to join a newsletter in order to get the bonus content.

Romeo Falling Spice – 4

It had spice, that’s for sure. I don’t include spice in my overall ratings as some books have spice, and some don’t. One thing I will say is that some spice in books is bang on, and others are a little too romanticised. I felt like some of the spice in this book was looked at through rose-coloured glasses, and that’s why I could only give it a 4/5 rating.
